Bio(Robert) Bruce Banner was once simply an incredibly gifted, promising scientist with a bright pleasant future ahead of him. Now through an unfortunate experiment gone horribly wrong, he's also something of a social outcast. His exile from his former life and love is a direct result of the angry green creature he transforms to in moments of severe emotional agitation. Bruce is desperately looking for a cure and for the acceptance he continues to deny to the other portion of himself simply referred to as the Hulk by itself as well as by others. While he is often more socially awkward than not, Bruce is considered one of the greatest minds in the Marvel universe. He has a Ph.D. in nuclear physics and excels in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, and physiology. His condition is a result of work done on a gamma bomb coupled with a misguided injection while working on a project for Super Humans. Despite his general misgivings about the organization, he works for SHIELD. His relationship with Betty Ross began prior to the creation of the Hulk, but fell apart not too long after his unfortunate condition manifested itself. His icons will primarily feature Edward Norton. |
